Years ago, we were the first to organize culinary weekends. This summer, we’re "expanding on these themes" by adding new activities.
There is a full-day scout program designed especially for the children. This way, parents and grandparents can enjoy a leisurely walk in the woods, some spa relaxation, or - why not even set up their office in the mountains, surrounded by fresh air and green scenery.
The program includes a variety of cultural, creative, and sports activities in Borovets:
- Scout camp activities
- Themed Weekends
- Children’s Puppet Theater
- Painting and Wine
- Pilates, breathing exercises and sound meditation, yoga
- Family games, walks to Chernata Skala, Chakar Voyvoda, and Tsarska Bistritsa
- Courses in pottery, herbalism, baking, folk dancing, and a perfume workshop
- Live music with folk evenings and DJ parties
The themed weekends featuring Bulgarian cuisine, folklore, and local traditions are:
- Creative Escape to the Mountains on July 10 - 12, August 7 - 9, and September 4 - 6, with a culinary theme "Where the Sea Meets the Mountains"
- Family weekend in the Rila on July 17 - 19 and August 14 - 16 with a culinary theme "Chef’s Night"
- Mountain weekend on July 3 - 5, July 24 - 26, and August 21 - 23 with a mountain culinary theme
- 130 Years of Borovets - Traditions and Future on July 31 - August 2 and August 28 - 30, with a culinary focus on potatoes, local recipes, and Samokov cuisine
This summer, Borovets will host a couple of festivals.
These events will take place in close proximity of the Rila hotel:
- Early August - Celebration of the Rila mountain - Musala Hut
- July 31 - August 4 - Dr. Emil Iliev International Jazz Festival
